A Letter From Mike

The German Shorthair breed has been a part of my life since I was a little boy, hunting upland birds with my dad. We have owned German shorthaired dogs since I can remember. My passion for the breed grew as I got older. I studied the bloodlines to find perfect looking dogs that were easily trainable and possess the right temperament to be a family pet. This is why I founded Lightning Creek Kennel. My dad purchased a female rich in the Hedge Haus bloodline. At the same time I purchased a male out of Ohio who's Dame was a three-time grand champion. These dogs are two of the best German shorthairs we've ever had the pleasure to hunt behind. And they produce excellent pups. My family enjoys the GSP breed and our number one goal is to make sure every puppy has a perfect home.
